CTV states 41 medication incidents occurred at Caressant Care in Woodstock between August and December of 2016.
According to Kitchener CTV the reports mention 41 medication related incidents that took place between early August and late December of last year, more than two years after Wettlaufer’s departure.
The incidents include 22 cases where medication was withheld from patients, six where patients were given the wrong dosage, five with medications being given to the wrong patients, three where doses were given at the wrong time and one where medication was administered without a prescription.
The report also states Caressant Care failed to document cases where patients experienced adverse reactions to drugs.
CTV says the reports are dated January 24th 2017, a day before the nursing home was ordered to stop accepting new patients by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care due to patient safety.
