Supporting Tim Horton's Camp Day helps to send local kids to camp.
It's Camp Day and buying a cup of coffee from Tim's today will help send a kid to camp.
100 percent of the coffee sales today will go towards the Tim Horton's Camps for under privileged children. Hundreds of kids from Woodstock and Oxford County have attended these camps over the years. Fundraising and Marketing Assistant with Big Brothers Big Sisters Kristen Ralph says Tim Horton's works with their organization to find deserving kids.
"So every year we get sent applications from Tim Horton's, we don't know how many we are going to get, what camp they are going to or if they are going to be a boy or girl, the camp applications are very specific, they say boy or girl, this year I believe we are sending 13 kids to camp this summer. Every kid that has gone in the past has had an amazing time and they just can't stop talking about it when they get back, it's easy for Camp Day to think, ya I'm sending a kid to camp but kids in your community are actually going and benefiting from you spending this money today at Camp Day.":
All of the Tim Horton's in Oxford County and beyond a celebrating Camp Day today and they also have other fundraiser's going on to help send kids to camp.
