CAMI Automotive is taking a presentation on the importance of the Canadian auto industry county-wide. It's based on a recent campaign created by the CAW calling for a National Auto Policy. President of CAW Local 88 Dan Borthwick says they want to make sure the industry stays sustainable. "We're looking for all levels of the government to create a National Auto Policy that will sustain and make the auto industry and all manufacturing a viable future and viable jobs for all Canadians into the future". Brothwick says CAMI is making stops at each municipal council meeting to ask for support. "We've taken it on not just to talk about it in Ingersoll, but as a local we've identified the entire county to seek out and seek support from the entire county. So each of the municipalities, our governments in the county, we plan on going to visit in the next little while". They want to ensure the local government is working to keep good jobs in the community.
