Bullwinkles Eatery is featured in a United Church catalogue highlighting church based programs across Canada.
Bullwinkles Eatery is getting some more national attention.
The program run by Operation Sharing is featured in a United Church catalogue which highlights about 75 to 100 church based programs across Canada. People who pick up the catalogue can choose to financially support their favourite program through their congregation.
Glen Wright, a retired United Church Minister, tells Heart FM Bullwinkles is one of the most popular programs.
"I believe there was 451 contributors and as you can appreciate, these would not just be from Oxford County, they would be right across Canada."
Wright adds this is the first year of the catalogue and the Mission Services Fund has increased as a result.
"Part of it, I think, is to give people a sense that when they contribute it doesn't just go into a large fund, it goes to the individual projects and they are very successful."
People in the community can enjoy a hot lunch at Bullwinkles Eatery inside the Woodstock Moose Family Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:45 until 1:30 p.m. The meal price is on a sliding scale based on what you are comfortable paying; the minimum price is $1 and the maximum is $7.
