PRINCETON - The 80s are coming to Princeton to help donate to Lupus Ontario.
An 80s Video Dance Night will be held at the Princeton Centennial Hall to help raise funds for people suffering with the disease called Lupus. The chronic disease is when the body's immune system attacks other organs in the body such as, the skin, organ tissue, muscles, joints, blood and much more. It affects 1:1000 men, women and children from most ages around Canada with no cure found yet. Fundraiser Organizer, Alisia Kipp says she wanted to do something different to raise money.
"I thought a video dance would be very different then anything I've ever been to. I wanted to do something that was interesting and fun."
Kipp is also someone that is currently living with Lupus.
"I was diagnosed with Lupus about two years ago and I wanted to do some fundraising to find the cause."
The dance is Saturday, September 14th from 8:00 p.m to 1:00 a.m with a 50/50 draw, silent auction and a DJ available. You must be 19+ to participate and tickets are $10 each.
