Briefs include assaulting a police officer in Scotland, break and enter and a theft at the Canadian Tire in Paris.
SCOTLAND - Brant OPP have arrested a 46 year old man after they say he assaulted a police officer in Scotland.
Police were called to Simcoe Street in the tiny hamlet on Tuesday morning just after midnight. The initial call for help came from the Brant Ambulance Service. When officers attended the residence they ended up arresting one of the men. He was transported to the Brantford General Hospital and then allegedly got into a confrontation with a police officer.
Stephen Brennan has been charged with 3 counts of uttering death threats, assault a peace officer, take a motor vehicle without owner's consent, driving a motor vehicle while ability impaired and fail to stop at the scene of an accident.
The officer suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from hospital.
PARIS - Brant OPP are investigating after a break and enter at a home in Paris on Washington Street.
Police say the home was broken into sometime between Sunday and Tuesday. Stolen was a number of tools. No word at this time as to the value of the tools.

PARIS - Police are investigating after a break and enter at the Canadian Tire store in Paris on Grand River Street.
OPP say the store was broken into early Tuesday morning around 3:30 am. Stolen was 35 refurbished batteries worth an estimated $900. Police say a Dodge caravan mini van was spotted in the area at the time of the crime.
