Bowling teams better be ready to rock at this years Bowl for Kids Sake Fundraiser.
WOODSTOCK - Big Brothers Big Sisters and Woodstock and District have decided to move their annual Bowl for Kids Sake fundraiser back to February.
This year's competition is set to take place on the 7th, 9th and 10th at C&D Lanes.
Fundraising and Marketing Assistant Shaylyn Jackson says the theme is Rock and Bowl for Kids Sake.
"People are welcome to dress up as their favourite rockstars or just in the rock and roll style. We expect to see some mullets from some of the teams, we had some last year for the Canada 150 theme so I'm sure they will be making a comeback."
Registration is now open online. Once you sign up Jackson will get in touch with you in order to give you your pledging package. You'll also have to recruit 4 to 6 friends, family members or co-workers to be your team members. They will each have to provide a minimum $50 pledge in order to participate.
Jackson says all of the money raised will benefit kids and youth in our community.
"We offer 11 different programs which is fantastic! They're all mentoring based; some are in the schools, some are run out in the community but we served nearly 500 children last year."
