The Woodstock Nationals Men's Slo-pitch team is holding a bottle drive in support of one of their own.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Nationals Men's Slo-pitch team is hosting a bottle drive for one of their players.
Ryan Colborne was recently diagnosed with colon cancer and all of the proceeds will go to him and his family while he is off work. One of the organizers Ian Carson says the team is really like a big family.
"When you are on a baseball team, it's almost like you have a second family, so he is basically part of this baseball family and has been for years and this gentleman has been diagnosed with colon cancer, so as a team we decided to do some fundraising while he is off work and we though what better way to fund raise than with an old fashioned bottle drive."
You can drop your bottles off at 559 Champlain Avenue or 112 Huntingford Trail in Woodstock until April 25th. You can also arrange for pickup or drop off by contacting Sarah Rider through Facebook or texting 519-498-8840 or by calling or texting Ian Carson at 226-998-3935.
Carson says they want to give a huge thank you to everyone that has already donated.
