BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM - One change caused by the pandemic that people are beginning to notice is the sound of silence.
With fewer people out and about, the background white noise that we deal with daily has dropped.
Blandford-Blenheim Council wants the quiet trend to continue once we are back to normal. They recently updated their noise bylaw along with a couple of others.
Mayor Mark Peterson pointed out some of the changes to help keep things quiet include noise from vibrating equipment and people squealing their tires.
Peterson also notes changes to the animal bylaw which includes a $500 fine for a dog bite.
