The City of Woodstock is looking for volunteers to help clean up our local parks on Saturday.
WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock is hoping a few good men and women will step up and help out during the big Spring Clean Up.
They are looking for volunteers to help clean up the parks on Saturday. Director of Parks and Recreation Brian Connors tells Heart FM a lot of the parks are littered with garbage after a long winter.
"Help us clean up some of the parks, we have some city Boulevards, maybe a woodlot or two and some parks that we would like some help cleaning up. We have been asking people to do this for the past 18 years. We will train you and provide equipment to clean up the garbage that was left over the winter and help make the city look beautiful and then after it's done we will bring them pack to Southside for a thank you BBQ."
They will be meeting at the Parks workshop on 192 Old Wellington in Southside Park on Saturday at 8:00 am. For high school students this will count towards your volunteer hours for graduation.
