Big changes are coming to the EMS building on Mill Street in Woodstock. A total of $1.85 million in changes. Oxford County Director of Public Works Rob Walton says it's a much needed renovation that's been a few years in the making: "The Mill Street EMS right now (in picture) is a three bay garage and there is some office space there for administrative help, but it's limited in its scope. So in 2009, Public Works put forward a report to County Council looking at administrative improvements actually for four departments. So the first three of those have been completed over different projects over the last few years; EMS is the last one." Walton says it's basically a rebuild of the site. The new building will house all of EMS headquarters adding an extra bay onto the Mill Street entrance and three new bays to the back of the building. A larger parking lot will also be added. County Council awarded a contract to Graceview Enterprises Inc. for the site construction.
