Someone barricaded themself in a single residential building on Grand River Street North in Paris.
UPDATE: Police apprehended a 39-year-old from Paris at around 7:50 a.m. and they have since been taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The individual remains in custody and they will face criminal charges.

PARIS - The Brant OPP is currently responding to a barricaded person at a single residential building on Grand River Street North in Paris.
Members of the West Region Tactics and Rescue Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team, and the Canine Unit have been on the scene with crisis negotiators and paramedics since 7:30 p.m. last night.
Officials say there's no threat to public safety.
Grand River Street North is currently closed between William Street and Dumfries Street and members of the public should stay away from the area.
No further details have been released at this time.
