NORWICH - Norwich Fire Department continues to battle a barn fire that claimed the life of one horse just south of Woodstock. Patullo Avenue between Middletown line and Oxford Road 14 will be closed for several hours as emergency services put out the fire.

Emergency services were called to a barn fire around 8 a.m. this morning. By the time police and fire arrived the barn was fully engulfed in flames, three horses managed to escape. No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
