Around 100 cattle have been killed in an early morning barn fire in Oxford County. Fire crews responded to the barn blaze at 2 o'clock this morning on Clarke Road in Southwest Oxford Township. Residents of the property were evacuated safely, but they've lost all of their cattle in the fire. All of the township's volunteer fire crews are on scene, along with Embro, Burgessville, Thamesford and Ingersoll Fire Departments. What sparked the blaze is not known yet. The OPP say they're Criminal Investigations branch will be taking a look, once all of the hot spots are put out. As a result, Clarke Road is closed between East Hill and West Hill Lines.
