Barb Yeoman would like to address diversity as a potential trustee with the Thames Valley District School Board.
WOODSTOCK - A local business owner is looking to represent Oxford County as a Thames Valley District School Board trustee.
Barb Yeoman owns a couple farms north of Woodstock with her husband and her own medical consulting business.
She has the time to give back to the community, and would like to do so through the school board.
"I think our school system is excellent, but I believe there are always challenges that are being faced and it's important to support the educators in our community to be able to provide the best quality education to our students."
Yeoman has a couple of topics she would like to address.
"Diversity is one that I am really encouraged to see the school board tackling; in programs and also population growth."
Yeoman adds TVDSB is currently doing an excellent job, adding she'd be a great fit as a trustee.
She's running against Thamesford father Daniel West, Woodstock native Kelly Bairos and the incumbents Bill McKinnon and Graham Hart.
