The Oxford Attack major bantam boys (U14) team started their basketball season going Tuesday night dropping a 45 ? 27 decision to the Kitchener-Waterloo Vipers at Huron Park Secondary School. The Attack roster this year contains 7 new players to the Ontario Basketball Association (OBA) squad and showed some of their inexperience in the second half by turning the ball over several times under the Vipers? full court pressure. Second year player Chris Cottrell led the Attack in scoring with eight points including a 3 point field goal. Nick Keeley chipped in seven points while newcomer Ben Mott picked up his first basket in the OBA while also collecting a couple of nice offensive rebounds in the fourth quarter. Next up for the Major Bantam boy?s will be a friendly tournament on December 8th at Ecole Notre Dame high school in Woodstock. The Attack play at 9:00 am, 3:00pm and 4:30 pm
