Tickets are now available for a special presentation at the Norwich Community Centre.
NORWICH - The Township of Norwich Chamber of Commerce is bringing in a community builder.
Doug Griffiths will be flying in from Alberta to speak at the Norwich Community Centre.
He is going to talk about his book, 13 Ways to Kill Your Community. He is also going to inspire the town to continue to grow and become a better place.
"The whole region has the same impression; it's a very beautiful place with a lot of potential. But for most of that entire region, it's reaching some of its goals and potential but there is so much more possible."
Griffiths is hoping for a big turnout on Thursday September 13th.
"I always encourage them to get high school students, get junior high students, get seniors out there, get volunteers and volunteer organizations in the community, bring out chambers of commerce and town councils, bring out local coaches and teachers, you should have the school there and people from the hospital. People from every conceivable organization because if you're going to build a strong community, if you're really going to build a community that's going to be prosperous and enduring for generations it takes every single person in that community to work towards it."
The doors will open at 7 p.m. and everything will get started at 7:30 p.m. Griffiths will be free to talk to members of the public before and after the presentation.
It's free to attend but you have to reserve your seat in advance. Talk to any member of the Chamber of Commerce or e-mail info@norwichchamberofcommerce.ca.
