The Oxford Attack U13 Boys battled hard in some friendly competition over the weekend
The Oxford Attack Bantam boys hosted a friendly competition over the weekend with teams from Chatham, Hamilton and Tecumseh in attendance.
The U13 team started their day against the Hamilton Wildcats. The boys had an impressive performance but turnovers and missed foul shots proved costly for Oxford, and Hamilton pulled out a 31 – 24 victory.
Next, the Attack took on the Tecumseh Saints. Centre Justin Chisholm scored 16 points for the Attack, with many assists from James McKee. Jason Lee grabbed 4 rebounds but it wasn't enough as the Saints snagged the 54-43 win.
In the final match, Oxford played the Chatham-Kent Wildcats. Oxford battled well, although eventually fell to Chatham, 50 – 33. Tyler Rooke and Ethan Roberts played with intensity and combined for 12 points. Matthew Hodgkinson had 4 points.
The U13 boys have a few weeks to rebound, practice and work out the kinks before their next competition at the Blessed Sacrament tourney in Hamilton at the end of March.
