Woodstock's MTO Metal Products wins 2014 Apprenticeship Network Employer Award
LONDON - MTO Metal Products in Woodstock is being recognized for their role in providing quality apprenticeship training.
The Company won the 2014 Apprenticeship Network Employer Award Thursday night in the Oxford County category.
Apprenticeship Network Co-Chair Martin Withenshaw says MTO has supported co-operative education for over 15 years.
"As an employer they train each student Health and Safety and take care that each student is made to feel a part of the team. The workers there on the floor take great pride in training the students and go above and beyond the usual expectation of a supervisor." Withenshaw continues, "over the years they have signed many students into the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program which gives students a leg up on getting into an Appreciable trade after they graduate from high school."
Other local businesses that were nominated include Allure Hair and Tanning, Wellington Hair and Wellness Studio and Thomas Electric.
