OXFORD - There's a freezing rain warning in effect for Oxford and Brant.
The inclement weather is expected to arrive Thursday morning with ice accretion up to a few millimetres possible on untreated surfaces.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
Environment Canada advises that extra care be taken when walking or driving in affected areas. They also noted that utility outages could occur and there could be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas.
The freezing rain will change to rain near noon as temperatures rise above zero.
