A Burgessville firefighter is facing an additional criminal charge tonight. 50-year-old Harold Couenberg of Burgessville is now facing a charge of Fraud over $5000. Couenberg was charged last week in relation to a fraud investigation involving the Burgessville Firefighters Association, where he was the Treasurer. The new fraud charge is tacked on to charges of: Theft over $5000, Uttering a Forged Document, and Breach of Trust by a Public Officer. Couenberg has been released from custody and will be back in court on February 21st.
