TAVISTOCK - The Tavistock Braves will be playing the Ayr Centennials in the Doherty Division Finals.
Ayr finished the season in first overall with the Braves placing 2nd in the PJHL standings. Tavistock had to beat the third place Navy Vets to earn a spot in the finals while the Cens had a tougher time getting past 4th placed Paris, beating them in 7 games.
Braves General Manager, Jordan Zehr, says the boys have to stick to their game.
"We just got to stick to our game. We're at our best and we're a hard working team, implementing our plan and doing what we can do. All year, one of our objectives is to be the working team on the ice and that's where we are going to find our success, we got to keep doing that."
Game #1 - March 8 in Ayr at 7:30pm.
Game #2 - March 9 in Tavistock at 7:30pm.
Game #3 - March 11 in Ayr at 6:00pm.
Game #4 - March 13 in Tavistock at 7:30pm.
Game #5 - March 15 in Ayr at 7:30pm if necessary.
Game #6 - March 16 in Tavistock at 7:30pm if necessary.
Game #7 - March 18 in Ayr at 1:30pm if necessary.
Zehr is hoping to see some local fans come out to the teams first home game on March 9.
"Fan support has been great not only all regular season but as soon as the play offs started the fans have been coming out quite a bit and we're hoping that it just keeps growing. The boys really respond when the arena's full and it creates a pretty good atmosphere for them."
