The new stop signs at the intersection of Hunter and Light in the City of Woodstock were officially unveiled today.
WOODSTOCK - The all way stop at Hunter and Light Street went into effect today.
You will notice the four way stop signs at the intersection if you drive by today. The all way stop was approved by Council in November 2018. Council also approved the all way stop at Springbank and Halifax at the same meeting. The stop signs at that intersection will be up soon.
It only cost the City a couple of hundred dollars in labour and material to install the stop signs. The move was done because of high collision rates at both intersections.
