The test is scheduled for 12:55 p.m.
ONTARIO - Phones, tablets, radios, and TVs will go off in Oxford County and across the rest of the province today.
An Alert Ready test is scheduled for 12:55 p.m. in Ontario. The system notifies the general public whenever there is an emergency situation in their immediate area, whether it's an Amber Alert or a tornado warning.
It's tested twice a year and the next one will be happening at 12:55 p.m. on November 20th. All of the other provinces and territories underwent an Alert Ready test last week, and their next test is also scheduled for November 20th.
On Wed, May 15, at 12:55 pm a national test of the Alert Ready system will take place. When an alert is heard, it is important to stop, listen and respond as directed. It could save your life or the lives of others. pic.twitter.com/219in6m9rk
