Ernie Hardeman one step closer to getting answers
TORONTO - We may soon know what steps the Ministry of Environment is taking to protect air quality in the Beachville area.
Oxford's MPP Ernie Hardeman is asking the Minister to provide results of air quality monitoring that was to be done in the area.
During the question Hardeman explained that in 2003 the Ministry of Environment release a report entitled “A summary of Air Monitoring in the Beachville Area”
"The report in 2003 said that it was unacceptable levels of dust in the air so obviously if they are going to put any other activity in around there and add to the problem, it needs to be solved first."
Hardeman says the Minister suggested the monitoring is being done though he would have to get back with the exact results.
"I did ask him to do that within two weeks and he didn't object to the length of time so I think we are going to see it fairly quickly."
