Travelers flying into Canada can now test themselves for COVID-19 while abroad.
Air Canada has announced the company is offering self-administered COVID-19 testing kits to travelers coming to Canada.
Thanks to a partnership with Canadian healthcare company Switch Health, customers will be able to test themselves for the virus before flying into Canada.
Using a Switch Health COVID-19 RT-LAMP Kit, clients can test themselves under the remote supervision of a Telehealth professional from Switch Health, and passengers will get an electronic report.
The kits are available to Aeroplan members for $149, and can be bought here.
Currently, anyone traveling into Canada is required to present a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of their flight.
