A higher than normal average for temperatures to start fall in Oxford County. This weekend temperatures will drop below seasonal, but the rest of the month will sit around 17 or even the low 20's.
OXFORD COUNTY - Above normal temperatures have hit Oxford County to start fall.
It has been some of the hottest days in recent years for the County with highs reaching close to 30.
Warning Preparedness Meteorologist, Geoff Coulson says why the high temperatures have been around.
"Winds from the South, winds from the Southwest brining up this very warm, unseasonal air mass, not just for the Woodstock area, but pretty much right across Southern Ontario."
Coulson adds the month of October could stay above normal.
"Talking about temperatures bouncing back again, again not likely will we see the 29 close to 30 degree temperatures, but with that normal high of 17, we could get back into the low 20's potentially later on this month."
Coulson mentions temperatures dropping below normal this weekend as a cold front moves across the area.
