The Oxford Lions are putting a distinctively Canadian twist on their Music and Comedy Night supporting local charities.
WOODSTOCK - A crowd pleasing night of music, comedy, and philanthropy is returning thanks to the Oxford Lions.
The theme for this year is - of course - Canada, Eh?
Steve Newton is excited to bring the Music and Comedy Night back for a seventh triumphant year to help our local charities.
"All proceeds go to charities. The main benefactor is Sakura House. We've got some great comedy and some great musical acts as well, all with a Canadian theme."
The night will be a big salute to everything from the music of the Tragically Hip and Blue Rodeo to the majestic beaver.
Tina McEwin says the big silent auction will also be back this year including the VIA trip for four to Quebec.
"It was a big to-do last year - it was very very busy with some fierce bidding going on there. Samsonite has been nice enough to provide some luggage if you are the trip winner as well."
It's happening at WCI on Saturday, May 27th. Tickets are $15 at Fritzies on Perry Street or they will be available on the day of at the door.
