A free bus tour in Oxford County will take residents on a tour of some of our renewable energy projects.
WOODSTOCK - Oxford County is offering residents a chance to get a first hand look at some of the renewable energy projects happening locally.
They will provide free bus tours on Saturday September 10th. The bus will leave every hour at the top of the hour at the Tesla Super Chargers at the Quality Hotel and Suites starting at 9 am and the last bus will return at 7 pm. Program Director for Future Oxford Miranda Fuller tells Heart FM about some of the other stops.
"We will travel to Nature Farms where they have a 250 KW project of solar PV and we will also travel to the Oxford Cattle Company where we will see the future site of an Anaerobic Digester that will convert Bio-Fuel into electricity and transport fuels. This is a farm source bio methane that is going to be combined with pipeline natural gas."
The bus tour will also head to the Gunn's Hill Wind farm where they will have a display on green energy technology along with food and entertainment. They will also have time set aside for some questions and answers before returning to the Quality Hotel and Suites in Woodstock.
The tour is this years Green Energy Doors Open event.
