A free conference will be exploring urban agriculture in Southwestern Ontario.
LONDON - Residents of Oxford County are invited to learn about Urban Agriculture in London.
The city is hosting a one day conference on November 19th that will look at a number of topics affecting urban agriculture in Southwestern Ontario. They include the role of fruit and nut trees along with appropriate technology and the role of animals in urban agriculture. Diane Zoller who works for the City of London tells Heart FM it's a great chance to learn about food sustainability in an urban setting.
"We have Lawrence Baker coming from the Toronto Food Policy Council and we have a number of speakers from town and in town coming that will speak about the role of animals in an urban setting."
The free session runs from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Central Library. You can find more information about the free conference online here.
