The Town of Ingersoll is getting a new cheese themed playground which will be featured on a TVOKids show.
INGERSOLL - Six kids, three days and one mission -- to build a playground for their community.
That's the premise of the Sinking Ship Entertainment show GIVER which will be shooting an episode of the show in Ingersoll this weekend.
The show takes what the town is famous for and designs a playground around that and in Ingersoll's case, the playground will be cheese themed.
10 year old Zack Cripps will be featured in the episode and says he was encouraged to give ideas for the playground design.
"I thought about a big cylinder of cheese that had holes through it so that you could crawl through it and poke your head up top through it so it would be sort of like a maze. There was also a cheese slide. There was a bunch of climbers that looked like swiss cheese."
Cripps says he believes the 6 children selected will be making cheese at the beginning of the episode.
"The three dates that we will be building the playground is Friday, July 4, Saturday, July 5 and the grand opening will be on Sunday, July 6 at 2pm at Centennial Park right by the Cheese Museum in Ingersoll."
Zack's father Dave is president of PlayRight Playgrounds in Ingersoll and has helped to design the final product and has put in $2500, as well the Town of Ingersoll is paying $10,000, and Sinking Ship Entertainment fronts $10,000 for each project.
The episode will air next year on TVO Kids.
