Highway 401 has re-opened (7:40PM), after a crash at around 2PM Sunday afternoon has left a motorcyclist with serious injuries. Oxford OPP say the motorcycle made contact with the rear of a car on the 401 Eastbound, near the Sweaburg Road exit. The motorcycle skidded across the highway, coming to rest on the south shoulder. Air ambulance was called to the scene to lift the motorcyclist to a London Hospital. Police say his injuries are serious. The 401 was closed to eastbound traffic between Highway 19, Ingersoll and Sweaburg Road, Woodstock for several hours. Police are still investigating, and are appealing for witnesses to call Oxford OPP (519) 688-6540 or Crime Stoppers 1800-222-TIPS.
