4-H Pancake House Returns to Jakeman's Maple Products

The 4-H Pancake House kicked off over the weekend, and it will be open tomorrow from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

SWEABURG - It's the 17th year for the 4-H Pancake House at Jakeman's Maple Products.

It officially opened this past weekend and it will reopen tomorrow because it's March Break. Shonna Ward with the Oxford County 4-H Association says it will be strictly open on weekends afterward with their last day on April 7th.

"We're there on Saturday and Sunday. So March 16th and March 17th, March 23rd and March 24th, we're missing Easter weekend, and then we're there the weekend of April 6th and April 7th which is the Maple Syrup Association weekend."

Breakfast is served from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and they only accept cash. They have pancakes with Jakeman's Maple syrup on the menu along with breakfast sausages and maple baked beans.

Ward says they put the 4-H youth in charge of everything.

"The youth do everything from cleaning, setting up, making the pancakes, flipping them, and serving them out to the customers."

All of the money raised will be going to the Oxford County 4-H Association and the projects they support in our community. They focus on a variety of topics ranging from food and agriculture to crafting and photography. You can find more information online here.
