Police have charged 14 people, mostly organizers and speakers at the No More Lockdowns event in Stratford last month.
STRATFORD - Stratford Police have fined several members of the "No More Lockdowns Canada" group for an organized protest in the City of Stratford last month.
The protest was supposed to be held at Lower Queens park on April 25. The City and Police barricaded the streets surrounding the area, causing the event to move locations to Downie Street and Shakespeare Street.
Over 700 people attended the protest. Police have charged 14 people with Failing to Comply with an order made during a declared emergency. The people charged were organizers or speakers at the event and one other person who was seen to be aggressive at times throughout the protest.
The Stratford Police Service and the City of Stratford would like to thank all those who stayed away from this protest and are continuing to abide by the ongoing Stay-at-Home orders.
