The Canadian Tire parking lot is currently packed with hundreds of classic cars on display
WOODSTOCK - The 12th annual Big Car Show is taking over the Canadian Tire Parking Lot on Norwich Avenue today.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Woodstock puts on the event every year as a way to get out in the community and raise awareness about their programs and encourage people to volunteer. The event is sponsored by Canadian Tire and Cathcart Auto Parts and will features some classic cars, hot rods and cool sports cars. Fundraising and Marketing Assistant with BBBS Woodstock Kristin Ralph tells Heart FM this is a recruitment drive for the not for profit organization.
"We could use volunteers in any of our programs, but the one group that we really need to shout out to is the male volunteers, it takes us awhile to get those male volunteers in the door, but once they make that commitment they generally make that commitment for a long period of time."
Ralph says it is a great chance to check out some cool cars and if your interested you can learn about the programs and services Big Brothers Big Sisters provides and how you can help.
The car show runs from 9 am to 2 pm today.
